Yes, I am being negative. For the pure fact that it's not something I want to do. I think it's a stupid policy to enforce on everyone, I think it's unnecessary and I think it's a waste of time. So yes, I'm pissed off about it, and in that sense I'm negative.

I know that there's things I can learn. And definitely, I know that I can probably gain from the experience - you can gain from any experience. I just think that the cost of what I'm giving up isn't worth it - especially when I'm not given a choice.

Why don't you treat going into army like an adventure instead of something that was meant to torture you and take you away from the things you enjoy doing? No offence or anything but I feel that you are very negative about a situation that you haven't gone through yet.
